A commercial client required a complete upgrade of their bathroom suite to modernise the space, improve accessibility, and address underlying structural issues.
R3 Direct was tasked with delivering a high-quality finish, ensuring full functionality, and minimising disruption to daily operations.

Our Approach

One of our Contracts Managers attended the property to measure up and scope the works, understand the needs of the clients and agree a programme of works. Materials were ordered as per the client’s choices.

With materials received and the installation date upon us we combined careful preparation, skilled installation, and attention to detail to complete the refurbishment efficiently and to the client’s satisfaction and specification.

1. Preparation & Protection

• Prepared the workspace and protect surrounding areas to prevent dust and debris damage and minimise the disruption for the client.
• Isolated water supply to the bathroom before starting works, ensuring the client still had a water supply to the rest of their home and WC facilities were available each night.

2. Fixture Upgrades

• Sink Taps: Removed existing taps and fitted new lever-style taps for ease of use and improved hygiene at the client’s request.
• Electric Shower: Removed and replaced with a new, efficient and reliable electric shower unit.

3. Shower Area Refurbishment

• Removed old shower tray and enclosure.
• Cut off and disposed of dated and defective wall tiles, repair all damaged wall surfaces.
• Supplied and installed white marble-style wet wall panelling for a clean, modern look.
• Carried out repairs to the floor and raised step section under the shower tray to address subsidence issues before installation.
• Installed new shower tray and enclosure.

4. Final Checks & Cleanup

• Conducted a full system check to ensure everything was functioning correctly, with no leaks detected.
• Cleared and cleaned the work area before leaving site.
